Bocce at the Ballpark a huge success

On Tuesday, Feb. 4, Unified athletes from Special Olympics Pennsylvania had the honor of joining members of the Philadelphia Phillies‘ Front Office for a Unified Bocce tournament at Citizens Bank Park in South Philadelphia.

This “Bocce at the Ballpark” event featured Unified Bocce teams from Northeast High School & Parkway West High School paired with various members of the Phillies organization.

After a thrilling afternoon of bracket-play competition, the Parkway West team that joined forces with Phillies’ General Manager Matt Klentak, Gregg Murphy, Justin Chasmar and John Brazer took home the title!

After the games, the athletes were treated to lunch on the suite level followed by a tour of the ballpark!
